High-Protein Pistachio Breakfast Bowl
A 5-minute, no-cook breakfast bowl: a sweet pistachio protein paste topped with fresh berries and chocolate cereal for crunch — over 30 g of protein before you've even boiled the kettle.
Per serving, as written.
A no-cook breakfast that eats like dessert but lands north of 30 g of protein. The whey powder does double duty — it carries the morning’s protein and thickens the pistachio butter into a spreadable paste, so there’s nothing to heat and nothing to blend. Fresh berries and a scatter of chocolate cereal do the rest for crunch and colour.
Because it’s built from concentrated ingredients, it’s easy to see where everything lives: the pistachio butter and neutral oil carry most of the fat, and the agave syrup, cereal and fruit carry the carbs — so it’s simple to tune sweeter, leaner or richer to taste.
Prefer a looser texture? Stir in a tablespoon of warm water at the end to thin the paste without letting it separate.
Ingredients
For the protein paste
- 30 g plain pistachio butter
- 30 g (1 scoop) plain whey protein powder
- 20 g (1 tbsp) agave syrup (or maple syrup)
- 10 ml neutral oil (avocado, canola or grapeseed)
- 1 pinch fine salt
To finish
- 50 g mixed berries (fresh or thawed from frozen)
- 2 tbsp chocolate oat cereal clusters (~18 g)
Method
- In your breakfast bowl, stir the pistachio butter, agave syrup, oil and salt together with a spoon until completely smooth.
- Add the whey powder and keep mixing. It will feel very thick and look like cookie dough at first — keep pressing it with the back of the spoon for about a minute until the whey absorbs the liquid and it turns into a dense, smooth, spreadable pistachio paste.
- Smooth the paste flat across the base of the bowl.
- Scatter the berries over one half and the chocolate cereal over the other, then serve.
